Staff Accountant Job Description by California's Great America: 
Responsible for managing the daily operations, maintenance and financial processing of admissions and in-park revenue system which provides transaction details for production of daily operational reports and General Ledger interface. Other responsibilities include credit card reconciliation and other General Ledger responsibilities assigned by the Manager of Accounting. Supervises subordinates and clerical staff as assigned. Reports directly to the Manager of Accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Sets up, maintains and operates admissions/ ticketing, in-park spending, and other financial tracking and reporting systems of subsystems. Establishes system data integrity; provides troubleshooting, user training and system customization; maintains user security; develops system reports. Creates documentation detailing system uses and processes as customized for park users. Performs general accounting work as required, including but not limited to reconciling other accounts, creating journal entries, etc.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English at a level sufficient to follow written policies and procedures; complete a variety of basic forms; and interact with guests including understanding and responding to specific questions.
